My approach is informed by years of nurturing British woodlands; the tree is the origin of any creation, and designs are often timber-led. My skills, knowledge, and perspective are underpinned by world class education (Waters & Acland furniture school) & hands on experience alongside master craftspeople, further refined through working in award-winning commercial workshops for the most reputable bespoke companies in the UK.
Alongside the measurable and technical aspect of what is created, the organic and intuitive side co-exists; for me it's a symbiosis between the woods and the workshop. My work strives to reveal the character of carefully selected native timbers using tools that have been passed down, collected and honed by time served hands. I see my role as giving voice to the story of the wood in a considered and conscientious way. The work produced is designed to be used, crafted with intention, and made to last a lifetime.

Native timber offers a rich variety of characterful wood from which I design & make hand-crafted bespoke furniture. Limited edition capsules of work are produced that enable the studio to maintain a healthy balance between the woods and the studio workshop.
Timber is selected from two local independent timber yards that align with my perspective on quality over quantity, these places are hidden gems that provide some of the most interesting native woods to design & make beautiful furniture with.
